Definisi DB2
DB2 adalah sebuah software untuk sistem manajemen basis data yang
dikembangkan oleh IBM. Perangkat lunak ini pada umumnya berjalan di Sistem
Operasi Unix,Linux,Solaris,IBM i/OS/400,z/OS,Microsoft Windows.
Cara Menginstal DB2 pada Windows
7 :
1. Pastikan
master software DB2 sudah tersimpan dalam komputer anda.
2. Pilih
setup DB2 yang sesuai dengan sistem tipe komputer anda.
a.DB2 v10.5_win_expc untuk komputer dengan sistem
tipe 32-bit.
b.DB2 v10.5_win64_expc untuk komputer dengan sistem
tipe 64-bit.
3. Double
click pada setup untuk memulai langkah pertama instalasi DB2 .
4. Akan muncul tampilan seperti dibawah ini.
Dan
klik OK untuk memulai instalasi.
5. Akan
muncul tampilan seperti dibawah ini.
Pilih Unzip.
6. Komputer
akan memulai proses Unzip file DB2.
7. Setelah proses Unzip selesai akan tampil
tampilan seperti dibawah ini.
Klik OK.
8. Kemudian
akan muncul tampilan “Welcome to DB2 Version 10.5”.
9. Pilih dan Klik Install a Product.
Lalu pilih dan Klik Install New pada
tampilan “Install a Product”.

Proses
Instalasi dimulai. “Preparing
to Install”

Setelah proses selesai akan muncul tampilan “IBM DB2 10.2 for
LINUX,UNIX,and Windows”
Lalu Klik
“Next”.
12. Akan
muncul tampilan “Software Lincense Agreement”.
Lalu Klik “Next”.
13. Kemudian
Akan muncul Tampilan “ Select the installation type ” untuk memilih tipe
installasi.
Lalu tekan “Next”.
14. Akan
muncul tampilan “Select the Installation, response file creation, or both”.
Pilih “Install DB2 Express-C on this
computer and save my settings in a response file”.
Klik “Next”.
15. Muncul
tampilan “Select the installation folder” untuk menyimpan file hasil
installasi.
Klik “Next”.
16. Muncul
tampilan “Select the IBM SSH server installation folder and startup option”.
Pilih “Autostart the IBM SSH server at system
startup”.
Klik “Next”.
17. Muncul
tampilan “Set user information for the DB2 Administration Server”
Pilih “Local user or Domain user account”
18. Isikan
password pada kolom Password dan Confirm Password.
Klik “Next”.
19. Muncul
tampilan “Configure DB2 instances”
Klik “Next”.
20. Muncul
tampilan “Start copying files and create response file”
Klik “Finish”
21. Memulai
Proses installasi DB2
22. Proses
sedang berjalan.
23. Proses
Copy file DB2.
24. Proses
konfigurasi tipe default DB2
25. Proses
membuat sample database.
26. Muncul
tampilan “Setup is complete”
Klik “Next”.
27. Klik
“Create Profile”
28. Proses
Installasi DB2 telah selesai,kemudian restart komputer anda.
29. Untuk mengecek hasil installasi bisa dilihat pada menu Start komputer anda. dan ketikan pada kolom search "db2" maka akan muncul tampilan seperti dibawah ini. yang berarti db2 anda telah terinstal
30. Pilih DB2 Command Line Processor . Apabila muncul tampilan seperti dibawah ini berarti DB2 sudah dapat dijalankan.
